Our mission

Climate action for everyone.

At Good Planet International, we are committed to tackling the climate crisis with a sense of urgency and determination. Climate change is no longer a distant threat — it is a reality affecting people and ecosystems across the globe.

More than 40% of global carbon emissions stem from fossil fuels. Our work goes beyond reducing emissions: we are actively reshaping the future of energy, agriculture and infrastructure so the next generation inherits a habitable world.

Climate justice focus

Climate change impacts communities differently. The most severe effects fall on those who contributed least — women, children, indigenous populations and economically marginalised families.

Our approach

Comprehensive climate solutions.

Four pillars that turn ambition into measurable action — from clean energy to climate justice.

  • Renewable Energy

Solar panel installations and community-led clean energy projects.

  • Education & Training

Skill-building and capacity development for climate-vulnerable communities.

  • Community Leadership

Empowering local people to lead and own their climate initiatives.

  • Climate Justice

Advocating for equitable climate policies and fair transitions.

Global crisis

Addressing the climate emergency.

Three lenses that shape every project we fund — risk, cascading impact, and the resilience we build in response.

  • Climate Risks

The World Economic Forum's Global Risks Report names failure to mitigate and adapt to climate change among the greatest risks the world faces.

  • Cascading Impacts

From water and food security to air quality and health, climate change cascades through every system — hitting vulnerable populations hardest.

  • Community Resilience

We build resilience against extreme weather, floods and landslides while addressing the environmental inequalities that compound them.

Our vision

Empowering communities for climate action.

We believe in the power of people to create meaningful change. Through education, skills training and access to renewable energy, we help families take control of their environmental impact.

Featured project · Cookstoves

Empowering communities and protecting the environment.

Locally manufactured, fuel-efficient cookstoves that cut firewood use, clear indoor smoke, and create jobs — one home at a time.

The problem

Millions of people suffer the health effects of cooking with firewood, charcoal or other traditional fuels. Women and children are hit hardest — often spending hours each day collecting firewood and breathing in toxic indoor smoke.

Our intervention

  • Locally manufactured energy-efficient cookstoves
  • Drastically reduced need for firewood collection
  • Lower indoor air pollution for healthier families
  • Economic opportunities through local manufacturing

Triple impact

Better stoves, three ways.

Every stove we fund delivers measurable wins across health, the environment, and the local economy.

  • Environmental benefits

    • Significant reduction in deforestation pressure
    • Preservation of valuable forest ecosystems
    • Supports broader reforestation efforts
    • 7.5-year lifespan ensures long-term impact
  • Health benefits

    • Reduces 4M annual deaths from air pollution
    • Decreased respiratory disease risk
    • Improved overall community well-being
    • Safer cooking environments for families
  • Community Empowerment benefits

    • Time savings for education and income generation
    • Local job creation in manufacturing
    • Skills training and education programs
    • Long-term community development
Our strategy

Local action for global change

Grassroots climate solutions.

International cooperation is critical — but local action is what drives change on the ground. We put the power of climate action back into the hands of the communities living the consequences.

  • Supporting grassroots renewable-energy projects
  • Promoting sustainable agriculture practices
  • Building climate resilience in communities
  • Mobilising networks for policy advocacy

Collaboration

Building a sustainable future together.

Climate change is a collective problem and demands a collective answer. We work across generations and sectors.

  • Youth Climate Movement

The global youth climate movement is a powerful force — calling for urgency and holding leaders accountable. We support and amplify it through collaboration and advocacy.

  • Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships

We work with governments, corporations and local communities to implement policies that prioritise renewable energy, efficiency and climate adaptation.

Creating accessible clean energy solutions.

Whether through local projects bringing solar power to rural communities or advocating for climate-resilient infrastructure, we are dedicated to building a better world for the generations who come next.
